Best Weeks of my life... so far.

Been a while since I last wrote properly in here and now I feel ready to do so!

So why have the last few weeks been so awesome? Lets begin with Highlander! 'There can be only one.' Well me and Aikku decided to socialise (at long last) with some other fellow scripties by joining them for a Highlander film (4th one out of 5!!!) And I have never laughed so much!! well for a long long time I havent. And it was some awesome!!! Specially the 3 levels of quizzes!!! Took us forever to get through it- I think I can officially say all of us lost a 'life' that day. It was so awesome and really nice to get to know other scripties- cheers for the invite Kevin!!!
(we now have an official Highlander Appeciation group!!!- my plan this weekend to catch up with the others by watching the other 3 highlander movies before we move onto the TV series!!! over 1000 mins of pure Highlander!!!)
And it was finally nice to be amougst geeks again! Been too long! :)

Next we have the awesomeness of lectures and seminars!!! Much more fun and interesting and I love it!!! Recently they have been getting very sexual- erections, climaxes, dildos, nipple tassles, prostitutes etc etc etc!!! So funny! I love our year group!!! Class of 2013 you kick ass!!!

Next was Fancy Dress Scripties- 23rd-24th of Feb- soooo much fun and awesome! The theme was to dress up with the letter beginning of your first name (or middle or last name) I decided to go as Einstein- I was gonna go as an Elf however my finances are extremely low this month (I may have to beg the bank for my extended overdraft this term!!! I hope they let me!)
I was so glad I did go as Einstein- it took one can of white hairspray, geek glasses, tie, jumper and blouse and I was in my element- no one recognised me- sooooo funny! Apparently I make a very convincing old man!!! I dread to think what I'm gonna look like when I actually get old!!!
We started at Yates where the Pope did some spectacular Pole dancing: Religion just got sexy!!!! There was Noughts and Crosses, a Jedi Knight Death, Barbie, a misfit, Jailbired, a school-girl and so many more!! Honestly everyone looked superb!

We then made our way over to Lava- entered the room full of Retro and 90's/80's and some 50's music. And i was in my element- I think 5 hours of non-stop dancing proved it!!! Though I am suffering from it now!! My muscles and joints ache like mad! ehhhhh. I wish I had taken more photos of everyone - I'm sorry guys- I keep forgetting I have a camera!!!
But I think one of us is gonna arrange a website fancy-dress thing- quite a difficult one- I wish to do a rainbow theme- come as fav colour- go to the max or just keep it simples!
Back to the music- macarena, saturday night, 5 6 7 8, cotton eye joe, s-club and so many more! what a blast I'm surprised my voice didnt go!!!

Now for a quiet weekend- lots of movies and im gonna try and finish off my book this weekend too!!!

Favourites!

Kind of bored and very tired after last night (which i'll probably write about over the weekend)

Anyways me and my favs!

~ romantic comedy ~ oooo this is a toughy. Probably Heartbreaker which is a french film but it was different from the classics Love Actually and I'm just not that into and Bridget Jones etc. For starters the main protagonist wasnt female as most are and also he is a professional person who breaks up relationships that clearly aren't working. Course then he goes and falls in love with this girl who is about to be married. Really good- 1st world cinema I have watched along with Run Lola Run!

~ national park ~ As in National trust- cause I've been to a few. Probably the closet one is Ashton Court- leads on to Leigh Woods (we did see a dead lamb hungover some fence which was a bit distrubing) but it is lovey and beautiful, specially when the weather is hot- lazy dayz :)

~ type of weather ~ I love the sun in the summer because I can sit out in the garden and relax nd read a book or even nap. Mainly I love the sun because during the summer 2010 I had this horrendous next pain- it honestly felt like something was inside my head pulling and pounding on the muscles. It lead to 2 days in of row of no sleep and oh my god...I cant even descrbed how much pain i was in (to which th doctor decided to turn around and say well we can rule out meningitus cause you're not feeling sick etc- scared me. Got shit loads of paracetomals and fell asleep out in the garden. I woke up wondering where my duvet was, then wondered why i was not in my PJs and then wondered why i was out in the garden. Then I remembered. I also love the rain on a sunday evening, fire aglow, book or film on and lots of junk food. And i love the sound of the rain against the window.

~ comic book as a kid ~ The Beano! You know back then when it wasnt about money but giving kids a laugh- used to be 8-12p and now it is a ridiculous price of 2.50 and two different versions (one cheaper than the other) Ive still got the Beano (and Dandy Annuals- to which i am tempted to re-read over the summer!)

~ foreign accent ~ The Irish... I havent met or befriended an irishmen yet- but honestly super cool accent!!! Love it- met an welsh and Scotsman but not an Irishman yet- I love them all- not english cause to me we dont have an accent- unless its really defined a.k.a bristolian (which i dont have but can do a very good impersonation of one and also a farmer/north somerseter- my homeland!)

~ winter olympic sport ~ uhhhhh theres different sports for different seasons? when did this happen? I guess ice skating is appropriate- plus its so lovely and beautiful- when the ice rink opens in bournemouth next year im going at least once a week- anyone wanna come?

~ part of your love interest's body ~ I dont have a love interest but i do love hairy chest- manly and i love rubbing soap on there! :D

~ poet ~ Many- Edgar Allan Poe, Wilfred Owen and others- not really a poem fan (thank to A-level english shakespeare of prose and blank verse...uhhhhh)

~ halloween costume that you've worn ~ My Ghost Face one- to be honest my parents never let me out the house during Halloween bcause apparently i wasnt mature enough. First proper halloween costume was at uni this year or 2010. Really fun!!!! One of my fav nights here!

~ breakfast cereal ~ Curiously Cinnamon- golden grahams disappeared and then i decided to try curiously cinnamon- oh my god i never looked back- then they disappeared and then many months later Waitrose stocked them again and i grabbed a box there and then. I'm hoping they still have them when i go back home for Easter.

~ political figure ~ The fictional Prime Ministers in films- fav has to be from Monsters vs Aliens cause he does the Axel F theme tune as a sign of Peaceful Communication. One of my fav tunes!!!

~ magazine/periodical ~ dont have one- but im contemplating to subscribe to an dog magazine so i can study during my free time next year about them ready for me to become a dog carer when i graduate (and do scripts in my spare time!)

~ toy from childhood ~ Peanut my royal blue elephant. Who apparently on researching is one of 2000 which was accidently coloured darker than the original (there are 3 colours- royal blue, baby blue- which i want and grey.) I was given it xmas when i was 12 and he was so soft and smooth and lovely i sleep with him all the time and is my prize possesion. Apparently one was auctioned for $3000!!! But the tag fell off ages ago and he is very old and a bit tatty now. And I would NEVER EVER IN MY LONG LEGGED LIFE sell him. He is worth so much more than that!

~ tattoo that you have ~ I dont have one but i want one on the side of my stomache when ive toned up- hopefully by the end of summer!!! I want 3 butterfiles- one royal blue, one turquoise and one pinky purple- all different sizes with little wisps. Hopefully design it myself!

~ pie ~ Chicken pie- when my moter had a throat op ages and ages ago i stayed at my Aunt Julies and she made (i think she told me she hadnt years later) an awesome chicken pie to which i had seconds!!! yummy yummy!

~ old article of clothing ~ I had once a lush pair of silky snoopy PJs. I had two because the first one got ruined and so did the second- i still have the silky bag it came in though- both i think... otherwise i love hoodies- cute and comfy!!!

~ day of the year ~ like special day? Fridays- Grampy and Iris's for tea- either pizza or awesome sunday roast or cottage pie- so many memories there ill never forget. Plus it signified the start of the weekend!!! I hated school back then...bad times.

~ genre of music ~ I'm a fat lover of retro, old skool, 90's music- trust me Lava Nightclub is my fav place~ i love it so much!!! I also dont have a tendency o love a particular kind of genre or band or whatever- im more into songs- i love a lot of different music- depends on my mood. but its not that important in my life- some say music is their life- films and certain tv shows are mine!

~ sports hero ~ never really got into sports- i guess David Beckham cause he was awesome back in the day!!! bring him back for the next world cup!!!!

~ flower ~ I never really thought about it. I like the flower Azalea- nice name- long as they are bright im happy eithr way. Though i do like lilies- i know they are the sign of death- but they come in so many colours its fascinating.

~ mixed drink ~ rum and coke- expensive but im gone within about 3 pints or half pints. so it last ages and ages ages!!! not the coke but thats fine can drink that normally or get a small bottle- all good!

~ movie musical ~ has to be singing in the rain- cause i watched it before I came to Uni and ive never seen a musical quite like it- i was smiling all the way through cause they arent made like that anymore.

~ vegetable ~Beetroot count- thas a veg or is that a salad? eh fine- potatoe roasted...thats a veg right? count as one as 5 a day? ive had 5 today actually- not 5 potatoes- peas, carrots, potatoes (3), pineapple and mangarines....yummy!!!

~ screen kiss ~ film kiss? er....i dunno i dont really remember the kisses....ill say Rose and Jack from Titanic- not realistic i know- but sweet and cute at the same time (plus i had a dream similar to it- twas nice)

~ tribe ~ Not really a tribe more of a cult- cant remember what they are called or were rather... told by my sociology teacher ages ago- they didnt believe in sex so they died out- i laughed.

~ place to buy clothes ~ New Look- student discount, good quality and cheap- specially the cute animated t-shirts which i get obsessed about.

~ religion/belief system ~ oh Q answered for that in tribe section. LOL

~ curse word or phrase to say ~ oh bugger fuck shit. or oh S-ugar H-oney and I-ced-T-ea. or just Bugger bugger bugger!

~ musical 'genius' ~ Murray Gold- beautiful stuff!

~ schoolyard game from childhood ~ BULLDOGS!!!! awesome game- it got banned by the teachers who deemed it too dangerous despite us being in year 6- so we changed the name to Cabbage- and the teachers/dinners ladies did question us once and we told them it was a different game and they believed us!!! hahhaha!!! fools....

~ bar ~ LAVA!!!!! 90' and retro music= me in my element!!!!

~ 'battle scene' from a movie ~ Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Anakin Skywalker in Return of the Sith. Because Mcgregor and Christensen had to actually learn all the moves themselves for the screen- omg such awesomeness- i am a geek- i have a huge star wars poster in my room with every character!!!! well major/well known ones anyways.

~ music to get your groove on ~ not so much to get groove on more like cheer my up peppy musci- from move along by all american rejects to jump for my love by pointer sisters.

Gnomeo and Juliet. (some minor spoilers)

So just watched Gnomeo and Juliet and I have to say it is pretty awesome.

Now I have to say when I watch films now my mind goes straight into scriptwriting mode and I have to say this films is full of conventions and of course non-linear (strictly mentioned at the beginning!)

Fans of Toy Story will love this what with being normal everyday things coming to life and living for their owners. But the storyline and location is very different you forget that similariy to the Toy Story series.

This film is obviously based around William Shakspeare tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet. A nice fresh child like feel- which is nice as it educates the younger generation on an important historic as well as one of his most famous pieces of work!
They do very well keeping to the story line and there are many obvious references to the original: which is very humourous in some cases. And also love the play on words throughout the film which Shakespeare did a hell of a LOT throughout his work. (of course I am not really a Shakespeare fan- I am merely refering to my days of studying Much Ado About Nothing at A-Level- which I do actually like.)

It is a British film: which I did not realise until the makers and producers came up. This should have been obvious due to its historic background and original maker.

There is also a great line up of actors who give a brilliant and fantastic performance including the talents of, Emily Blunt, Ozzy Osborne, Michael Caine, James McAvory and to my most enjoyment Richard Wilson who we all know as Victor Meldrew. (one of my old fav sitcoms).

The graphics are very nice and I suspect more appreciated through the 3D eyes- to which I did not see the film in. But I bet it is awesome!

Despite this being a tragic love story they have done very well for a kids/family genre of film. An extra character not from the original is added in order to make some very tense scenes feel more light-hearted. (and I have to say I am tempted when I am older to have a pink plastic flamingoe in my back garden called Featherstone.)

They only thing which is a bit annoying is it is actually a very short film compared to most kids/family films:this one an hour and 10 mins whilst most are around an hour and a half mins. And some strange random scenes which dont make any sense and were obviously put in the make up some extra time.

Above all this film helps me personally as I am hoping to do my dissertation on types of films dying and then coming back into 'fashion'.

But overall a lovely film which the whole family can enjoy. Defo should be up for a British award for animation.

And how does the story end? Well I won't spoil it for you!

Bored which results in very sad times... XD

Basically just got back from my 2 hour session discussing the Brown family...ours did not end happily but it has inspired me to write a political thriller which i have never watched before or even considered writing about and its actually pretty darn good- will update on that much later.

Now im back in cranborne dredding the thought of packing all my stuff cause i am moving out to the student village some time next week and at the moment i cant be arsed to move- plus my hands feel weird...and im drinking loads atm..i think I have a feeling I have diabetes.....may get checked out.

Anywho now bored im listening to really old and cheesey pop songs like Gareth Gates Spirit in the sky, Vengaboys and Aqua which brought a really weird and funny memory back of me and Kim (my sister) making our own version of Barbie Girl for our dog Bobby and being this a really random world ofme blog what better place to put it for the rest of history and time!!!

'I'm a bobby dog,
and I am a sod.
Life in hair,
it just ain't fair.
You can bush my fur
and like a cat i'll purr.

Imagination I am God's creation!

Come on Bobby, lets go Doggy!
bark bark bark bark!
Come on Bobby, now go potty!
woof woof woof! woof woof woof!

Oh Kim I'm having so much fun!
Me too!
Love you boy!'

Something like that- and obs we couldnt be arsed with the whole song- we were young and well got bored easily afterwards.

Anyways hope you enjoyed XD

Reading Week 2

Well I am back from home after my luxurious week at home. Now where to begin?

First weekend I went to Cardiff to celebrate a friends birthday and resulted in a lot of rum, twister, dancing, boys with white stuff around their mouth offering joints and a cozy bed to sleep in. And I remember it all- some funny and some nerv racking step forwards for me in the guy department- for me....which isnt a lot for the rest of the world. But this is for you guys to read instead that little piece of informatin has gone away into my diary!!! (All i can say is that the welsh boys are very nice and gentlemeny)
But Cardiff was awesome none the less- cept my shoes got ruined and i had to chuck them and the fact Cardiff is ruddy freezing!!! (though it was 4 in the morning to be fair...)

Anywho it was reading week but alas i did no reading what so ever and instead spent most of my time socialisng- saw my great aunt and caught on on the latest eastenders, emmerdale and corrie- to my surpise all have very dull storylines atm.

Went to my aunts house and watched poltergiest by stephen steilberg- and it wasnt that scary- towwards the end it was- but it was so weird cause it was very family orientated and also some parts were very funny at the same time. But it was filmed and produced in the late 70's so I give credit where it is due- specially later that same night when American Dad takes th mick out of it- I had to cringe. which i would love to show on here alas youtube doesnt have the clip.

Ummm what else? oh yea went up the mall and spent far too much money on dvds and stuff- but it is all part of the course of scriptwriting- we must do it to learn the 'tricks' and 'trades' of scriptwriting- so all is well.

Took my dog out for a walk and he lost us- you read correctly- he lost us twice!!! He couldnt even make us out or hear us no matter how many times I called out- bless him- mind you i am blind as a bat- i mistook someone for my mum going down the road shouting- oi mum! Chinese remember? come back!!! to which my mother comes around the corner and i pretend i havent been calling out to a complete strangr what so ever *embarassment*

Anyways I am a little bit sad and that but I have to keep strong and what not in order to get my degree. See you laterz!
